Acetate Cellulose is plastic material developed to produce eyeglasses frame.
Sabae, a city in Fukui prefecture in Japan is well known for production of high quality eyeglasses as its local industry and the refined shape of their glasses frame is cut out from this plastic sheet.
During production process, thin strips of the plastic are generated as waste material. Generally, all those waste is disposed as flammable trash even though it still keep unique value in it.
Thermal plasticity of this material enables to create any form easily by giving heat. Colors originally made for the glasses frame can spread strong lay by emitting light with its translucency.
The pursuit of better shape and different colors of glasses frame, that nature of people stays in waste and gives a new role in domestic space.
