Left Over Shelf is a shelf made of leftover material from the factory at Piet Hein Eek. As a sustainable designer, Piet Hein Eek has created Scrap Wood Furniture which is made of construction waste. He cherishes and finds the beauty in waste, and try to use them as possible as he can. However, still production makes waste after all. To have strong structure, Piet uses different kinds of wood, and that makes variety of left over material. Collecting them from the trash bin, and glue them to make the shelf construction. Different colors and patterns of soft and hard plywood leftover imply the efforts how a sustainable designer creates his pieces and what is the value to be discovered.
